In your Routable Dashboard, you can use filters to quickly locate the payables and receivables you’re looking for and sort the lists according to the field you choose. Currently, there are two different options for filtering your lists of payments in your dashboard.
You can quickly filter by status from the left side navigation by expanding the Payables or Receivables list and selecting a status from the menu. Or, you can use advanced filter options for due date, amount, creation date, or bank account and even combine multiple filters to create a targeted list of items for bulk actions.

How to Use Advanced Filters
When viewing any Payable or Receivable list, you can further filter your results by clicking the Filter button near the top, right-hand side of the page.
Currently available filters:
-
-
For payables, the bank account from which funds were sent
-
For receivables, the bank account where funds were deposited
-
-
-
The date when the payable or receivable was created in Routable
-
☝️ Each of these filters will allow you to target a specific amount, date range, bank account, etc. in order to get at the specific data you need.
Amount Due
Filtering by Amount Due will allow you to enter a dollar amount and specify whether results should be greater than or equal to, equal to, or less than or equal to that amount. You can also choose between and enter a date range.
For example, let’s say you are looking only for completed Payables that are equal to or greater than $100.00. You could filter your payables in this way:
-
Click Payables in the left-hand sidebar and select Completed from the sidebar filters
-
Click the Filter button
-
Click +Add a Filter

Bank Account
Filtering by Bank Account will allow you to select which funding account you want to see results for.
For example, if you wanted to see completed Payables funded from a particular bank account you could follow these steps to create that filter:
-
Click Payables in the left-hand sidebar and select Completed from the sidebar filters
-
Click the Filter button
-
Click +Add a Filter
-
Select Bank Account
-
Choose one of your funding accounts from the dropdown
-
Click Apply and see your filtered list of payables

-
Click Receivables in the left-hand sidebar and select Unpaid invoices from the sidebar
-
Click the Filter button

-
Select Due Date and choose “is on or before” from the dropdown
-

-

Current Approver
Filtering by Current Approver will allow you to review all payables that require approval by specific approvers.
For example, if you are only looking for Payables that require approval by Michael Scott, filter your payables in this way:
-
Click Payables in the left-hand sidebar and select Needs Approval from the sidebar

Click the Filter button
-
Click +Add a Filter

-
In the Current Approver drop-down menu, select "Michael Scott"
-
Click Apply and see your filtered list of payables matching these criteria
How to Use Multiple Filters
The filters above can be used in combination with one another, helping you access precisely the data you need.
You might want to perform a bulk action on payables that are:
-
Ready to Send
-
Equal to or less than $100.00
-
Being paid from a specific bank account
In that case, you’d want to navigate to Payables and select Ready to Send from the left side navigation. From there, you’d add one filter based on Amount Due and another filter based on Bank Account.
How to Remove a Filter
☝️ There are two ways to remove filters: either removing a single filter or clearing all applied filters.
1️⃣ Use the trash can icon to remove one filter and click Apply to leave the remaining filters in place.
2️⃣ Use the Clear All button to remove all filters.
Sorting your list of bills/invoices
In both the Payables and Receivables sections, you can sort your list by any of the following criteria:
-
Updated (this is the default)
-
Due date
-
Invoice date
-
Amount due
-
Amount paid
You can adjust whether the order is ascending or descending.
To sort your payables or receivables list, click on the header of the column you want to sort by.
Once you sort a column, the arrow will remain present to indicate which column the list is sorted by and whether it’s ascending or descending, indicated by the orientation of the arrow.
To reverse the sort order, you can click the column header again and you’ll see the direction of the arrow reverse.
☝️ Note: items in your lists will be sorted by Updated date by default, initially. Though, Routable will remember the sorting order you used last time. So, your bills and invoices will be sorted by the previously used sorting order until you make changes.
