Archive vendors and customers in Routable via the Company page. The archiving process varies depending on whether or not your Routable workspace is integrated with a ledger (QBO, Netsuite, Xero, or Sage Intacct).
Getting Started
✋ To archive companies, you must have a creator role or above - or the archive permission under Vendors and Customers in your Custom Roles settings. |
To get started, on the left-navigation, go to Vendors > All Vendors or Customers > All Customers.
On the company's profile, click the Actions menu (Vendors) or 3-dot menu (Customers) at the upper-right corner and select Archive.
How to Archive [No Ledger Integration]
If you do not have a third-party ledger connected to Routable, in the Archive side-panel, click the Archive button to complete this process.
How to Archive [with a Ledger Integration]
If your ledger is integrated with Routable, review the options provided in the Archive side-panel before continuing. After making your selections, click the Archive button at the bottom of the panel to proceed.
(1) How should this change be reflected on your ledger?
Archive in Routable and make inactive on your ledger
- Choose this option when the vendor or customer is no longer in use in Routable and your ledger.
Archive in Routable and do not make changes to your ledger
- Choose this option if you will no longer use the vendor or customer's record in Routable, but plan on using it on your ledger.
(2) Do you want to unmatch the Routable record from your ledger?
Unlink the Routable record from the ledger record
- Check this box to unmatch - or remove the connection - between the company record in Routable and the record on your ledger.

What if the company has open payables or receivables?
When attempting to archive a company that has open payables or receivables, you will be prompted to reconcile any outstanding payments.
Follow the link to View payables (vendor) or View receivables (customer) and review the open transactions.
Can I unarchive a vendor or customer?
Yes, navigate to the Actions menu (Vendors) or 3-dot menu (Customers) at the upper-right corner and select Archive.
