When your account is integrated with QuickBooks Online, QBO allows some customization of the fields to make the software more specific for your business. This article covers how those fields get shared with Routable.
Categories
QuickBooks Online offers two types of categories for your bills and invoices with their Quickbooks Online Plus and Advanced subscriptions: Class and Location.
Using these categories can be helpful for more granular reporting to track different segments of your business. If you use these categories, they’ll automatically be pulled into Routable. This means that you will see your bills and invoices exactly the same way they appear in your accounting software.
Custom Fields
QBO allows businesses to create up to 12 custom fields of varying types (date, list, number, etc.). However, there are limitations with how QBO shares those fields with Routable.
Routable is only able to show:
- The first 3 custom fields created
- Data Types: Text and Number

Routable will automatically display these custom fields from your Quickbooks Online account so that it mirrors the configuration in your accounting software, and you don't need to switch back-and-forth.
