When creating a new contact for a vendor or customer in Routable, you will have the option to assign contact Autofill settings. The goal here is to save you time for each workflow you need to complete.
You’ll notice “Autofill settings” for both “Payments and invoices” and “Company management”:
-
Payments and invoices - Autofill will add the contact by default to receive email communication when you create a payment or invoice for that company.
-
Company management - Autofill will add the contact by default to receive email communication associated with registering for Routable, adding tax information, and updating payment methods.
⭐ You can choose for a contact to be autofilled in the “Full permissions” or “Read-only permissions” fields when selecting contacts.
☝️ Note: The contact autofill settings you select for the contact will be loaded automatically.
-
The autofill contact settings can be overwritten on a per payment or invoice basis
-
Contacts with no valid email address won't be assigned, regardless of autofill settings.
Full-Permission
Contacts with "Full permissions" will be able to read and act on emails.
Read-Only
Contacts with “read-only” access won't let the contact act on emails, and will be notified that the emails they receive are read-only. The buttons and links will be missing and they will not be able to interact with the emails.
Viewing autofill settings for contacts
You can quickly view contact autofill settings from the companies page view, on the row for each contact, and edit by clicking the three dots on the far right.
When importing multiple items from your accounting software
