This article covers two methods for adding a new bank account to Routable: (1) connecting via Plaid for automatic verification and (2) using account and routing numbers for manual verification.
🖐️ Routable allows a maximum of 6 bank accounts to be connected to a single company account. If you need to add more than that, please contact us. |

Add a New Bank Account
Choose between the following 2 options:
- Option 1: Connect via Plaid (recommended)
- Option 2: Add bank account by entering account and routing numbers
💡 If connecting a Silicon Valley Bank or a First Republic Bank account, we highly recommend using Option 2. |
Option 1: Connect via Plaid (recommended)
(1) Click the blue Connect bank account button to connect your bank account. This will open a pop-up window for Plaid's online portal.
In the Plaid portal, follow the prompts to complete the connection.
(1) Select the bank of your choice.
(2) Securely sign-in to your bank account.
(3) Select the account you wish to connect to Routable.
That's it! Quick and simple. Notice the "Verified" badge. This means you can start using this payment method right away. 🎉
Option 2: Add bank account by entering account and routing numbers
If Plaid verification isn't available for your banking institution or you'd prefer to manually verify your bank account, there's the option to add your bank account using your account and routing numbers.
In the Connect a new bank account section, below the blue button, click +Add bank account by entering account and routing numbers.
(1) Select if you're adding a checking or a savings account.
(2) Enter your routing number and your account number (in both fields). Routable will automatically fill in the bank name once you've entered the routing number (below the Routing number field).
(3) Click Add bank account to submit your information.
You've made it! The bank account status still shows as "Unverified", because we still need you to verify the micro-deposits sent to your account in order to complete verification.
